An 85-year-old widow Mrs. Margaret Howze and her three bachelor sons R T Howze Lucius A Howze and Ike Howze were found shot dead in their rural Chester County home. Coroner Lewis H. Miller and Sheriff William A. Peden described the scene as murder and possible self-inflicted death. Plumber G W Christopher found the bodies in one room of the five room dwelling as he came to repair a pump. Investigations continued to determine the killer.
