Rabies Quarantine Ordered for Dallas Area
Dr. B W Dawsey the county rabies inspector ordered a 30 day quarantine of dogs in Dallas and surrounding territory within two miles after the first rabies case in Dallas. Dog owners were told to pen up pets or have them shot if not kept. The rabid dog belonged to Mrs Pauline Oates and injured her sister before being destroyed.
