Cherryville Youth Drowns In Lake Norman Tragedy
David Scott Pfeifer, a Cherryville High School junior and First Baptist Church member, drowned Monday while swimming with a girl friend in a cove near Kiser's Island on Lake Norman in Catawba County. His body was recovered by the Catawba Rescue Squad about 5:30 p.m. Autopsy pending at Catawba Memorial Hospital. Funeral set for Thursday at First Baptist Church with burial in City Memorial Cemetery.
