Johnny Mack Brown Visits Gastonia on Homecoming Tour

Western star Johnny Mack Brown, age 43 and with 22 years in film, visited Gastonia with his troupe for two high school auditorium shows drawing large crowds. He spoke of returning to Hollywood, has four children aged from 18 months to 18, and praised his Alabama roots while his son Lockland eyeing Alabama football. Local officers accompanied him at a Gastonia Elk's Club meal before a Raleigh and Oxford orphanage tour.
