James P Baldwin 73 died early Saturday at his home after several weeks illness. A retired merchant and outside Overseer, he was born November 30 1884 in Gaston County. He married Bertha Stroupe in 1911 and leaves three sons Evan James Howard and two daughters Mary Richardson and Dorothy Thornburg among many relatives. Funeral Sunday 3 p.m. at Bethea Methodist Church with burial in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. Silk Funeral Home in charge.
