Two Men Held For Entering And Assault
Gastonia men Bobby Threlkeld and John Lunsford are jailed on charges of breaking and entering at night and assault with intent to kill after an early Friday incident at John W. Summitt's home on Propst Street. A third man is being sought. Threlkeld and Lunsford, both held under $5,000 bonds, were arrested by Rural Police S C Lovelace and Allen Bridges, and city officers Arnold Edison and Jack Sarver. Hearings before Magistrate B W Craig are expected next week after the third man is caught. Summitt said he delayed filing a complaint due to travel issues following the beating. The defendants deny breaking into Summitt's home.
