Baptists Acquire Property at Franklin and South Corner
The First Baptist church bought the Loton corner property at Franklin Avenue and South Street for $6,000 from R. P. Rankin. A memorial parsonage funded by Mrs. J. D. Moore will be built, honoring Capt. J. D. Moore, with construction set to begin next year. The church plans a future edifice but will not act soon due to maintaining a near-new church at Long and Marietta.
