Misses Anne Morgan and Anna Kirby hosted a prettily appointed Friday afternoon gathering at Miss Morgan’s Fairmount Park home. Bride elect Frances Dean Falls was feted with floral arrangements, refreshments, and a kitchen gift shower. Twenty guests attended.
Miss Carolyn Walker birthday party at Miss Betty Harwell’s Cloniger avenue home featured 18 guests, white carnations, a white gray frock, a bridal tableau, and contests with lingerie shower prizes. Containing notes of Mrs Roy M Harwell and Mrs Jack Arrawood, the event recalled a celebratory tea with punch and nuts.
Miss Anne Robertson hosted an informal drop in party for her wedding attendants at her Hillcrest home. She wore a printed frock with rose and green trim as guests enjoyed ice cream and cake. Pearl necklaces and earrings were presented to each attendant.

Top price 52 cents a pound, farmers averaged 49 cents, plus government wool parity subsidies. Local growers named include Ralph Plank G L Lutz R B Watterson and O D Boxee.
