Brothers drown while swimming at Bear Creek Lake
Two Jackson County brothers, Ronnie Gentry in his early 20s and Dale, believed teen, died after a drowning in Bear Creek Lake. Ronnie encountered trouble about 15 feet out. Dale tried to rescue him and both disappeared. Bodies recovered by Glenville rescue squad. victims were pronounced dead on arrival at C J Harris Hospital Sylva. Marcus L Martin, son of Troy L Martin of Mount Holly, completed avionics training with the Air National Guard.
