Gastonia men charged in robbery and stabbing case

Kenneth Ray Summitt, 22, of 405 Kyle St was arrested on June 1 for assault with a deadly weapon, breaking and entering, strong arm robbery, and related charges after a burglary and knife attack on Jatin Avery Kersey at his Gastonia home. John Gordon, 22, of Clyde St is also charged with strong arm robbery and breaking entering.Witnesses identified Summitt and Gordon as part of a group that assaulted Kersey, who required 38 stitches at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Police released few witness details while filing the case.

Home turns into terror house in Inglewood killings

Two face drug charges in Gastonia raid

Gastonia narcotics agents arrest Acuhur Weaver Jr 21 of 1008 Plymouth St and Carol Sellers 19 of 1008 Sheridan Cl after a search warrant at Weaver's home Thursday. Weaver charged with felonious possession of marijuana and unspecified drugs. Sellers charged with possession of amphi compounds. Weaver released on 1000 bond and Sellers on 800 bond.

Impostor in police chase jailed after high speed escape

A man wearing a Greenville deputy uniform sparked a multi jurisdiction chase along I-85 and US highways, surpassing 100 mph. He hijacked a Greenville officer’s outfit, threatened with a pistol, and took a car with two dogs as he eluded officers before being forced off the road near a Gaston County restaurant.
