Moss served 24 years in the Navy and lived in Gastonia. Dock W Paxton 60 retired textile worker died in Gastonia hospital after a 45 year Belmont residence. Survived by wife, children, sisters, and grandchildren. Walter Albert Guin 62 of Mount Holly died at sister’s home. services to be held at Mount Holly Funeral Home. Survivors include brothers and a sister.

L. L. Parker Dies Suddenly at 47 in Belmont

Laurence L. Parker 47, office manager for Aberfoyle Manufacturing in Belmont, died suddenly Wednesday morning from a heart attack while en route to work. Born June 29 1807 in Charlotte, he served Aberfoyle in Guelph Ontario 1933 44 and was an elder at First Presbyterian and a Belmont Kiwanis member. Funeral arrangements are set, with service at First Presbyterian.

Mrs Mary Murphy Costner 91 of Homestead NC died Tuesday morning in a Raleigh hospital after four weeks illness. She was a Gaston county native who lived in Homestead for years. Survived by son J C Costner of Homestead a daughter Mrs J R Dippard of Cramerton four brothers S O Murphy of Crouse 11 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at 11 am at Freewin Baptist Church in Cramerton. Burial to follow at granddaughter Mrs L B Jenkins home in Cramerton.
