RICHMOND Virginia January 5 preliminary hearings set for two Charleston South Carolina airmen on charges tied to the 8500 bank robbery in Lancaster South Carolina December 22. Bond set at 25000 for Charles Fearnow 18 Mechanicsville and 10000 for Thomas Moody 19 Melbourne Florida. Fearnow accused of conspiring with Jake Baker Jr Ker shaw South Carolina to rob the Lancaster bank. Moody accused of unlawfully possessing and concealing part of the money. Baker arrested Christmas Eve and charged with the Springmaid Branch Bank of Lancaster holdup. Fearnow and Moody were arrested at Fearnow's Mechanicsville home Thursday on three day passes.

RALEIGH An extra 145 million will be borrowed by the state to cover general fund obligations until income tax receipts begin next April. The Council of State approved the move at a Hodges administration meeting, with four banks lending at 1.5 percent.
