James Farmer of Rank R-2 improved at Gaston Memorial Hospital after knife wounds to back and leg required 230 stitches. Arthur Farley Jr. of Belmont surrendered to officers, charged with the assault. The incident occurred in the weave room at Cramerton Mills around 6 a.m. Saturday. a prior fist fight was reported. Farley posted bond, and Farmer was to be confined for recovery.
