Seven Flyers Rescued In Greenland Reach New York
Seven airmen rescued from the Greenland icecap along with two rescuers are en route to New York. An Air Force C-54 carrying the crew left Goose Bay at 4 15 am EST and should land at LaGuardia about seven hours later. Interviews and pictures are planned. five others remain at a Greenland base with their families. Accompanying the rescuers are Lt Col Emil G Beaudry and co pilot Lieut Charles H Blackwell.
