Custody Dispute Sparks Kidnaping Arrests in Texas
Two men Roy Crowder 24 Sherman and Lloyd Hayes 27 Howe and Mamie Hayes 25 Howe were arrested early Tuesday on kidnapping and aiding and abetting charges tied to a custody dispute. They allegedly abducted Wayne Edward Johnson 23 father of a five year old, forcing him into their car for 45 minutes before returning him. The child’s whereabouts are not known. Johnson had been in Domestic Court over nonsupport.

Four armed plainclothes men entered the Havana airport bound flight after passengers reboarded. They knocked down two stewardesses and threatened to shoot several passengers, forcing men off at gunpoint. Cubans roughed up Brantley and Reid as they left. The plane continued to New Orleans. Man On Sidewalk Hit By Auto In Accident
An elderly Negro man walking along a sidewalk was struck by a vehicle at Marietta street and Long avenue about 7:3 Tuesday morning. Robert Kennedy, 63, laborer of 614 East Ratchford avenue, treated for injuries to left arm and leg. The wreck involved a 1957 four door car and a pickup. Ervin Williams, 49, of 516 North Marietta street, drove the car. Henry Clay Gibson, 17, of McAdenville, drove the truck. Gibson charged with reckless driving. Damage totaled about 350 to the car, 100 to the truck, and 150 to the fence. Traffic light was not on at collision.

The new space, an expansion to Threads Inc, a Textiles Inc subsidiary, was built by R. H. Pinnix, a Gastonia contractor. The relocation progressed since last summer with the executives moving this week to complete the consolidation of Threads Inc and Textiles Inc operations.
