Membership Gains By Baptists In North Carolina
North Carolina added 34 Baptist churches this year and 23,295 more members than 1953. The state now has 3,141 churches and 781,777 members, with 35,702 new baptisms this year compared with 739 in 1953. Ben Goss announced the figures as L. Lilly’s report was released yesterday by the Baptist State Convention secretary.
