Three Injured In Auto Crash Near Chester and Franklin
City police report a Friday afternoon wreck at Chester street and Franklin avenue injured three people. William Albert Van Sloan, 19, was bruised on the left hand, Thelma C. Groves, a housewife of East Franklin avenue, bumped on the head, and her passenger, Mrs OB King, 22, of Chapel Hill, believed to have a fractured knee. All were treated at Garrisor General Hospital. Groves drove east on Franklin, Van Steen west on Franklin, then turned onto Chester. Property damage estimated at 800 dollars, 500 to the Groves car. An earlier 1:55 am Saturday accident sent Floyd Ellis Setzer, 55, bruised under the chest from a wheel collision after skidding on ice near West Fifth Javenne extension, leaving him at the scene.

RED SPRINGS two people were found dead in a parked car near the town. Pvt Robert Kimbell 21 son of Mr and Mrs Charles Kimbell and Miss Patricia Evers 17 from Rt 2 Red Springs died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
