In Gastonia municipal court Judge P C Froneberger found Billy Meredith innocent of larceny of hub caps from Sunshine Turner’s 1950 Buick. Meredith admitted driving with revoked licenses and was sentenced on that count to roads for 12 months, suspended on payment of $100 and costs. The court also suspended 12 months for James Mitchem’s December theft of a preacher’s overcoat, with Mitchem’s sentence canceled after remorseful testimony.
