Belmont Goshen Presbyterian Church of North Belmont announced it will sponsor Boy Scout Troop No. 2 for 1952. Rev. R H Ratchford named the troop committee with himself as chairman. Belmont Rotary safety program awards posters and love offering
Belmont.safety program phase one culminates with Miss Jo Ann Parker winning first prize in the poster contest at Belmont Grammar School. A love offering for the building fund, including a $23 war bond, to be received at Cen tral School chapel service Sunday. The program’s second phase ends next week with a cantata The Wondrous Story by Goshen Presbyterian Church. A Day of Gift is announced and more than 2,500 posters were submitted by grammar-grade students.

Church Women Have Meeting at Belmont
The Gosh en Presbyterian Church women held their December meeting in the social building. Guest speaker Mrs. W. D. Ratchford of Springwood Presbyterian spoke on Beauty and Peace of Old Age, urging spiritual growth through usefulness. Over 40 members attended, including several from Springwood. Mrs. L. N. Untz Jr. led the program. refreshments were served by Gladys Smith, Mrs. D. M. Hartness and Mrs. Lulal Caskey.
