Echerd elected president of Gaston County Barbers Association
L. J. Echerd of Gastonia becomes president of the Gaston County Barbers Association succeeding Chariie Roa. New officers include V. Guin as vice president and J. N. Crawford Jr. as secretary treasurer. Officers were chosen at the group’s annual Christmas party at the Farm House in Belmont with wives and guests present. The nominating committee members were Goodson, V. Quin, and Roy Bullett Hulett. outgoing officers were L. P. Spargo and the former secretary treasurer. Uptown Gastonia barber shops will close two days for Christmas, Tuesday and Wednesday.
