Robert L Withers a Gardner Webb student arrives to spend holidays with C S Withers on West Eighth Avenue. Charles Ramsey from Mars Hill College visits his mother on East Main Avenue. Mrs Lee Brison travels to Charlotte to see daughter Mrs Ben Sigmon. Nancy Dean McLean arrives from Brenau College to stay with L L McLean on New Hope Road. Fred D Noblett arrives from San Juan Puerto Rico to spend holidays, stopped in Tampa with R d Ward. Jimmy Summey returns from UNC to Carolina Avenue. Lanny Rayfield arrives from State College Raleigh to spend holidays with parents on West Rankin Avenue.
Spokane report says George Locher’s 60 year old two horse high runner sleigh has been found. A neighbor spied the sleigh a block from its expected location, tipped but undamaged. Locher will offer a free ride to the finder and family as the story ends with holiday cheer.
A sequence of social events runs Tuesday through Saturday with multiple bridal related gatherings honoring Miss Molly Current bride elect. Attendees include Miss Ann Shu ford Reid Miss Sarah Adams Miss Linda Grigg and families such as the McLean Boyd Whitesides and Oboer-Campe wedding parties. Rehearsals and wedding ceremonies occur at Pisgah ARP Ranlo Baptist and New Hope road venues.
