Visitors Show Appreciation At Gaston Museum
Rain kept many away but last Sunday between 00 and 200 visitors toured the Gaston Museum of Natural History. Guests included Dr. T Albert Hewsot and families from Greensboro Asheville Bessemer City Dallas Belmont and Belmont Stowe Baptist Church youths and First ARP Church groups. The museum is open 2 30 to 5 30 pm daily except Mondays with planning for group visits by telephoning the director.

Soldier Participates in Major German Exercise
Kings Mountain soldier Pte Lawrence R. Hilliard of the Eighty Infantry Division joined hundreds of thousands in Exercise Main Heart in central Germany. The V Corps drill, involving about 28 000 troops, aimed to sharpen small unit leadership and combat readiness. Hilliard served as a rifleman in Company 40 of the 16th Infantry, Baumholder, having entered service in December 1960 and arrived overseas last June.
