Floyd Evans 34 of High Shoals received a 60 day term after conviction for hit and run when his car struck Roy P. Seymore’s automobile. Seymore and a station attendant pursued and caught Evans who did not stop. Evans faces pending charges of drunken driving and Aquar Jaw violation in county court. Murder Charge Case Continued For Claudia Boyters
A murder charge against Claudia Boyters 46 of 313 North Pine Street was continued until January 9 for a hearing in Inejty court. She is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of her brother in law Ben Hale on December 3. The trial date of December 15 was postponed. Jimmie Jacobs of City faces a separate charge of receiving stolen property set for January 12. Authorities ordered a subpoena for R L Wilkinson reportedly in a South Carolina prison. Jacobs case originated September 18 with allegations of receiving stolen tires from Wilkinson. The cabinet room at No 10 Downing Street is described as having double doors and double sash windows to deter listeners.
