New Parcels Post Rules Set for January 1 Activation
Postmaster General Hitchcock releases full regulations for the nationwide parcels post system to start January 1. Packages up to 11 pounds may be mailed to any address with zone based rates from five to 12 cents per pound, insured for 10 cents, with up to $50 indemnity. Distinctive stamps and parcel post maps will be issued for public use.

The Rhyne Roller Mill in East Gastonia will install a complete latest type roller milling outfit to greatly increase output. When in place within three to four weeks the mill will produce 60 barrels of flour 200 bushels of meal and 300 bags of feed daily.
