Mrs Easter Smith Dies at Belmont at 50

Mrs Easter Smith wife of Math Smith died at her Belmont home Tuesday at 1 am from pneumonia aged about fifty. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ebenezer church, Rev W W Honeycutt presiding, with interment at Goshen cemetery. She leaves husband five children and a large extended family.

Newport News drummer W. C. Hall Jr. lost 35 dollars on a Southern railway train between Danville and Greensboro Tuesday night. Three men he suspected of the robbery fled on another train bound for Salisbury.

Death of George M Armstrong Beloved Belmont Farmer

George M Armstrong 55 died at his Belmont home from pneumonia after a two week illness. Funeral at his home was held yesterday at 10 am with burial at Old Goshen Cemetery. Survived by two wives and ten children including John Tennessee and Thomas Belmont. also brothers J Math Armstrong Jasper L Armstrong Justice L Armstrong and sister Mrs J R Gaston. A respected farmer and Baptist church member leaving many grieving friends.
