Washington reports the House Committee on Un-American Activities says North Carolina may sue the Ku Klux Klan under a state ban on secret political societies. The two year inquiry alleges the Klan uses terror to advance white supremacy and cites misdeeds by Tar Heel Grand Dragon J. Robert Jones, including false tax filings, asset disclosures, and personal use of Klan funds.
