Forelen exhibitors invited to join Indian manufacturers and industrialists for the ninth Indian International Machinery Exhibition. Scheduled to begin February 9, 1952, in Delhi, the show aims to attract foreign machinery cars and appliances to aid growth and development of small and cottage industries.
The Dallas Lions Club will hold a supper meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Cafe on Gastonia highway in a Yale party, urged by president Frank L. Carpenter. Janes R. Haas filed suit in Gaston superior court against Ray McCorkle seeking about 1300 damages. He says on Rozzelle's Ferry road in Charlotte on June 9 a tractor occupied by the defendant and Bilton Cusik Jr swerved onto Haas side of the road. Haas says he pulled off the highway but the tractor struck his car causing about 300 damages and the defendant cursed and threatened him in front of his wife and children.
Greensboro December 11 University of North Carolina officials backed an annual funds drive among the 44000 alumni. Gordon Gray president of the consolidated university outlined the need for unrestricted money beyond state appropriations. The General Alumni Association board approved the proposal.
