Old Fish Camp Building Razed By Early Fire
Fire of unknown origin destroyed the old fish camp on Spencer Mountain road shortly after 1 am Tuesday. A second blaze in Smyre Station destroyed a dwelling. both fires believed accidental with extensive losses. The fish camp, a concrete block structure with a frame second story, was last used as a residence by Charlie Knight and family. Knight has since moved. Police note prior notoriety of the site and link Payne and Knight by marriage.
