Stanley PTA Meeting and Community Christmas Events
The Stanley PTA plans a Thursday December meeting at 7 30 in the Adool auditorium under program director Ladd Maxwell. The Christmas bazaar by the Stanley Methodist Church drew about 200 for food and a cantata The City of Star by Roger C Wilson with Patsy Medlin and Craig Lowe leads a choir. Mrs Harry Medlin’s group prepared meals. Abernethy remains critical in Mercy Hospital Charlotte. The Lions host their annual Christmas party Tuesday in the community building with wives as guests. Mrs Guy Hovis has been ill. Mrs J K Moore improves at home of daughter Mrs Ernest Helms. Bruington Memorial Baptist pulpit was taken by Rev James Haney Kannapolis. Graham Mattison will address the community Christmas group in Siler City Friday.
