Judge Peebles Rules Wake County Health Law Unconstitutional
Judge R B Peebles holds that section 9 chapter 62 of 1911 state law is unconstitutional in Wake County and that Dr J J L McCullers is not the county health superintendent. He also finds that Dr W S Rankin had no authority to appoint McCullers and that the schedule of fees fixed by Rankin is invalid. The ruling could affect all county health officials if upheld by the North Carolina Supreme Court.

H F Forbes of Crowders Creek visited to hear pine beetle pest talks. Mrs W R Jones and son Walter Raleigh visited her parents and plan Christmas in Gastonia. Rev W H Hardin of St Mark's Episcopal deferred his move as archdeacon until January.
