Two Cherryville residents were injured Saturday when a car went out of control struck a bank and overturned in a field in Linwood County. Hugh B. Wacaster, 32, driver, suffered chest injuries and facial lacerations. Gerald Lean Quinn, 25, suffered arm and head lacerations. The 1956 car had $500 damage. State Patrolman C H Camp charged Wacaster with driving on the wrong side of the road and possession of alcoholic beverage.

Dr Harold N Peterson, 32, beat wife Lillian to death with a hammer in a three story home in Los Angeles after financial worries.
