Local Doctor Qualifies For American Board

Dr. Charles H. Morgan of Gastonia has qualified for and admitted to American Board of Surgery. The surgeon completed part two of board training after earlier part and local practice begins at 318 South Street. He studied at Columbia University then earned MD at College of Physicians and Surgeons and served with the U S Army at Fort Benning. Morgan notes board certification requires surgical specialty and rigorous training.

Optimists watch forestry program at Gastonia meeting

Members of the Gastonia Optimist Club viewed a forest management film at the limeheon meeting. County forester Ed Buckner led the presentation while President Ches Freeman presided. The group announced a Christmas party for the Junior Optimist Club at the clubhouse on December 16.
