County Workers to Receive Christmas Bonuses
Gaston county will pay Christmas bonuses to 140 employees totaling 11700 dollars. At a called meeting last Saturday the county commissioners approved payouts of ten percent of annual salary for employees with one year of service and twenty four percent for those with six months, funding the bonuses from county funds.

He remains a master carpenter and craftsman, nine children and families plus 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren attended, with Rev W H Dutton and Mrs Dutton among the guests. They were married 50 years ago at the home of the bride’s parents, the late J Frank Rayne.

County Workers Receive Four Day Christmas Holiday Plan
County commissioners approved a four day Christmas break from December 24 to 28 for most county employees. The plan adds up to a five and a half day holiday with Saturday noon off.
