Gastonia S D director Grady Stott notes safe walking and driving reduce deaths while campaigns continue year round. Since 1937 pedestrian fatalities fell 49 percent though non pedestrian deaths rose 16 percent. School age child deaths fell nearly 40 percent due to patrols and school safety education programs.
Training Union forces of Gaston Baptist Association will mobilize at First Baptist Church Monday night. Dr Glaude Bowen of Greensboro will address the M Night assembly as part of a southwide effort to boost Baptist program progress and plans. Attendance goals exceed 1000 with 1955 records around 555 at First Church in Gaston. The Gaston Association Men’s Chorus directed by Andrew Champion will perform and 14 Royal Ambassadors ushers will assist.
