Delegates among 79 arrested in Chicago protest

Illnois National Guardsmen fired tear gas on 3,000 demonstrators and a number of Democratic delegates near the International Amphitheatre. Seventy-nine people were arrested including eight delegates or alternates and five newsmen as mass arrests followed a march led by Dick Gregory. Delegates and aides watched from the Hilton as police dispersed the crowd with tear gas and rifle butts.
