Death of J. C. Weaver in Bessemer City
J. C. Weaver 60 plus years old and longtime Bessemer City resident died at home early Monday likely from heart failure after getting up for breakfast. He attended court in Gastonia last week and leaves a widow and several children. Reared near Tate's Chapel, he later ran a small retail business. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Tate's Chapel conducted by Rev. Campbell of Davidson College, with interment in Tate's Chapel burying ground.
