Five armed robberies in 30 days have heightened police activity around Carmen Ray Edwards 23 of 1032 West Airline Avenue. He was at Dobbs House on East Franklin Boulevard when five patrol cars surrounded him and Officer B. Childress removed a .22 caliber pistol from him.
