Sammy Lee Thompson a 30 year old Black man from Bessemer City suffered severe forehead lacerations when the car he rode in veered off Long Creek Church road Sunday night. Driver Herbert J. James 33 of Bessemer City was charged with reckless driving. Vehicle damage estimated at 250 dollars and Thompson was admitted to Kings Mountain Hospital.
