A young Black man, K W Watkins of 601 North Moran, was arrested near noon Monday and jailed on forgery charges after attempting to cash a $40 check at Randy's Men's Shop on West Main. Officers say he forged signatures of Quay D. Williford and Vera Jean Thomas on three $40 checks, with instruments cashed recently for the same amount, and stashed the checks at Miles Soda Shop on South Marietta Street.

The 36 minute talk will air on 60 radio and 10 TV stations and be repeated on some daytime radio stations tomorrow morning.
