Gaston notes Paw Creek Presbyterian Church hosts the Cathey clan’s first annual reunion with 359 registered travelers from Kansas Missouri Indiana Tennessee Georgia Alabama North and South Carolina and Virginia. Officers elected include Hugh Cathey president Sinclair Cathey vice president Justice Cathey secretary and George Cathey treasurer. A Cathey museum, a 22 page mimeo booklet, and a community dinner followed a two day event, with plans for annual reunions each August 1st.

Members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church contributed about 3400 to reduce indebtedness on their new $200,000 church property at Seventh and South.
