New Lake Wylie marina on pace to open in 2020
A new Morningstar Marinas at McLean near Belmont is set to open in 2020. The project adds a marina with 300 dry slips and 35 wet slips plus a ship's store, waterfront event lawn, a restaurant, and two future commercial parcels as part of the McLean development housing about 800 residences across South Shore The Conservancy and Overlook.

The Greater Gaston Development Corp plans GO Fest on Thursday September 26 from 6 30 to 9 p m at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion in downtown Gastonia. Live music food trucks and beer from Cavendish Brewing Co and Ole Dallas Brewery will be offered. Local officials will discuss community projects while property owners show future developments with street closures on Main Avenue and South Street near the pavilion.
