Belmont Trolley Returns To Belmont For City Ride
Belmont group buys a 112 year old trolley and plans to run it in Belmont with a street party on Oct 2 to unveil the vehicle and drum up funds. The car was built in 1913 by J G Brill Co of Philadelphia at a cost of 25000 dollars with 15000 dollars to ship from a Canadian museum. The trolley weighs 30000 pounds and stretches 30 feet in length, and will travel an 15 mile route between Belmont Abbey College and downtown Belmont.
