Crackdown On Organized Retail Crime Aims At ORC
Gaston Police Chief Trent Conard District Attorney Travis Page and Homeland Security agent Ben Horton announced a large scale crackdown on organized retail crime. ORC defined as large scale theft with intent to resell, cost retailers $100 billion in 2019 with rising figures. A local case saw $167,389 in stolen goods recovered from Jer me Huffman in Kings Mountain.
