Money woes delay Gaston road projects
Financial problems at the North Carolina Department of Transportation delay long awaited Gaston County road improvements for a decade. About 900 state projects face impact nationwide, with Gaston projects including I-85 Belmont to Gastonia, the U S 74 bridge over the Catawba River, N C 275 between Gastonia and Dallas, and planned U S 74 Cox Road Redbud Drive intersections.
