Man stands trial over 2022 fatal stabbing case
Prosecutors say 57 year old Kevin Mosby killed 48 year old Donald Watts in Bessemer City after Brittny Jenkins, Watts's partner, reported Watts hurt and kidnapped. The case centers on Jenkins testimony and Mosby's claimed self defense as investigators traced photos of Mosby at ROs BBQ to place him at the scene.

Gastonia man missing since early October
Tyrone Krank, 63, disappeared from his Southside Avenue home in early October leaving his phone and ID behind and the door unlocked. His sister Tammy Thomas found him missing on Tuesday October 8 after searching Food Lion routes he frequented, with Krank needing medication and using a cane.

Belmont Abilities Tennis chapter honors a lost friend
Four years ago three Gaston County brothers started a Belmont chapter of Abilities Tennis Association of North Carolina to teach tennis to athletes with disabilities. With James and Asher Dover graduating soon, younger brother Rex and their parents vow to keep the program alive. In 2019 12 year old Matthew Lu died at Altitude Trampoline Park in Lowell after a fall during a party. the family who knew Lu helped sponsor tennis courts at Davis Park in Belmont.
