Christmas Town USA lights turn on Friday glow nightly
Christmas Town USA in McAdenville North Carolina will begin its lights show on Friday December 1. The annual display started in 1954 when four Pharr Yarns employees hung white lights on trees and letters forming Christmas Town on a hill above the fire department attracting thousands yearly. The Pharr family funded expanding the display after initial success. Lights run nightly 5:30 to 9:30 through December 26 only on Fridays and Mondays.
