The elder Peek later became a pastor in South Gastonia, moving the family from Atlanta to Gastonia in 1980. Peek says the lesson was that if others can do it, you can too.
About 65 adults attended a free screening of Instant Family at Regal Cinemas in Gastonia hosted by the Gaston County DHHS on Saturday Nov 17 to recruit more foster families for roughly 355 county youth in care. Dovona Cuthbertson of Belmont considers fostering after hearing friends’ success.
