Eddie Black, 20, a legally blind NC State student from Gastonia, lies in a coma after being struck Oct 30 by Lee Laughton Hill who police say was drunk. Eddie and fellow student were crossing to dorms near campus. Eddie dragged 175 feet and suffered extensive brain damage as Hill faced impaired driving charges.
