Shootings Streak After Domestic Call Ended in Fatality in Gastonia
After a woman opened fire on Gastonia officers during a domestic dispute at 1 19 pm two officers returned fire and killed her a police officer was wounded and is in stable condition. Later two more shootings occurred one at 107 Dix St killing a woman allegedly by her 24 year old boyfriend David V McDowell III and another on Adams Avenue leaving a man shot in the face hospitalized at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Police investigate whether the Dix Street and Adams Avenue shootings are linked.
