Group helps students shop for mom for Mother's Day
Susan Eason of Party Girls Catering in Cherryville led a volunteer group that collects new and used jewelry for free gifts to mothers and caretakers. The effort, inspired by a 2022 Christmas gift, served over 600 children this year with donations from church members, the Cherryville American Legion, and even a 700 piece stock from an anonymous local family. Craft sanitized nearly 2,000 pieces at her mother’s sunroom, with help from her sister and friends.
